Shawn Graham comes to us with 25 years of animal training experience.
A very cool piece of his past includes 18 years working in a zoological facility caring for and training Asian elephants! He has been published in zoo journals, chaired an animal enrichment committee for 10 years, and was featured in National Geographic for innovative enrichment ideas for elephants. Shawn has always had a love for dogs, especially the bond they have with people. While working at the zoo, Shawn trained dogs “in his spare time”. He began training many dogs for friends, family and local clients. After deciding to retire from the zoo industry, Shawn began training dogs full time. Over the last 4 years, he helped build training and enrichment programs for both breeding and private facilities. Shawn especially enjoys giving individual lessons and teaching dog owners how to be comfortable in public with their dogs. Shawn’s motto is “a dog is not truly trained until the owner is trained”. Shawn will be doing private lessons, group classes, enrichment programs, board and trains as well as community classes. |
