Tammie’s passion for working with dogs started when she was 8 yrs old, when she enrolled in the canine program at the local 4H club. She also trained and showed American quarter horses since she was “knee-high to a grasshopper.”
Her personal experience is in obedience competition, obtaining 2 Utility Dog titles as well as Rally Obedience titles. She actively competes in obedience, rally obedience, flyball, nose work, dock diving and Lure coursing.
Tammie’s career experience includes working with dogs with behavioral issues, rehabbing rescue dogs as well as orthopedic rehab dogs. She also has years of experience instructing in puppy classes, basic manners and obedience, CGC, as well as various competition obedience classes.
When you meet Tammie, you will instantly notice her genuine passion for animals. Her classes are high energy and founded on the bond between dog and owner. Tammie's training vision is based on the conviction that all dogs can learn, sometimes we have to be patient and figure out how to get them to understand. She is a very positive, but firm trainer. She does believe in corrections and also in rewards for the proper behavior.
